Most frequent questions and answers
You do not need a driving license to drive a cabin car. The mobility scooter is designated as a class 3 invalid carriage. Mobility vehicles are not legally defined as a motor vehicle and, therefore, you do not need to have a driving license or take a test.
Unfortunately not, the Cabin Car isn’t currently on the Motability Scheme
If you own a Cabin Car you do not need to pay road tax. However, class 3 vehicles do need to be registered with the Driving and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). The Cabin Car doesn’t legally need to be insured however this isn’t recommended.
The Cabin Car MK2 is available in 4 standard colours, blue white, red and black. Not for you? Don’t worry, there are plenty of bespoke colours to choose from. An additional feature of the option to customise paintwork to anything you wish. Some owners have been known to add their favourite football team crest onto the car while others prefer a custom colour
Initial Assessment
During our initial assessment, our team will take some details such as your height, weight, medical history, disability in order to pick out the best mobility scooter/powerchair for you.
Arrange An Appointment
Now it’s time to arrange an appointment. You can either book an in-store appointment or one of our specialists will visit you at your home. The appointment will include you being able to test drive different scooters while our team will answer any questions or queries you have.
Choose Your Scooter
You may have test driven or been shown a few different mobility scooters or powerchairs, now it’s your turn to chose the one you prefer and that you feel most comfortable on.
