Charnock Richard Through the Years
Originally founded in the year 1933, and reforming in 1955, Charnock Richard Football Club has had a long and interesting history over 90 years since its inception. Playing at their longtime home of Mossie Park, the ‘Green Army’ have been competing in the North West Counties League Premier Division since 2017-2018.
The club has faced many high and lows in its history. Charock Richard FC had their most recent celebration winning the North West Counties League Challenge Cup in 2021-22, and winning 6 West Lancashire League Premier Division titles in the 21st century.
Operating a range of groups and welcoming the whole spectrum of ages to play, the club is a full member of the Lancashire County Football Association and run entirely by the club members. The ‘Green Army’ is much beloved by both loyal fans and their local community.
